About soidid

I spent nearly nine months during 1998 hitchhiking all the way around Australia

photographing everyone who gave me a lift and writing about each hitch.

Living off $AUS30 a day and with the aid of 53 hitches, I hitchhiked in excess of 23,000km

and my route was as follows:

Around Tasmania, Melbourne to Cape Tribulation, Cape Tribulation to Uluru, Uluru to

Melbounre, Melbourne to Darwin, Darwin to Perth and Perth to Melbourne.

Having completed my journey I returned to Brisbaneand self-published the book of

my journey, ...so I did (Oct. 1999).

Having a coffee-table style finish to it ...so I did contains 112 pages with B&W images

and stories of all 53 hitches.

...so I did is now in its' third print run and is available throughout Australia.
