Hi Leena,

Thanks for your message, yes its me. Were the monkeys friendly and do you know what kind of monkey were they? I have heard capucians can be naughty with pinching food as they have very agile hands!

My sister unfortuantely doesn't like photos at all and hates to be in them-much like Tai!

Anyway, I'll be home on the the 23rd November so I'm sure I'll see you after that :)

Thank you Esko for information about the eclipse and Gitta for information about Madrid etc. Gitta I am waiting for my mobile phone sim card to arrive from Australia before I can go to Madrid. Toekie, because i left Paris long time ago I cannot get the French music now but I can get some Spanish music...

GRANADA: I wrote a long story about Granada where we were before Torrevieja, but it vanished, so I don´t have now time to try to write it again!! Old granada town is a lovely place by snowcapped Sierra Nevada mountains. We climbed to Alhambra palaces with beautiful Islamic stone carvings. Huge lovely gardens have many fountains pressured naturally by cool mountain strams.

Yes, it,s very dangerous to look at the sun without special filters.

Hi Leena and others in Spain,
There is an annular solar eclipse (rengasmainen auringonpimennys) in Spain tomorrow (Oct 3) around 10 Spanish time (I expect .. in any case around 09UT).
Do not look at it without proper shielding of the eyes. Special filters may be locally available.

Hi Leena, After seeing all the important Art-Museums in Madrid, you could have a walk to Plaza
Mayor. A beatiful place. All around this square there are old narrow streets (specially to the south and west).Small Tapas-bars and old shops and all kind of curious things.
Another nice square is Plaza de Sta. Ana - also near Puerta del Sol.
These areas are not very safe after dark. The Chueca-district (gay-atmosphere)might be interesting at night - many small,strange bars.

It all sounds so wonderful, I wish I could be there too! Keep writing, tell us more about your travels. When are you going to leave Europe for India?
It is spring here and everything is in full bloom, we even had a bit of rain yesterday and Monday, so things are looking good. The weather is slowly getting warmer, and the first Northern Territory Mangoes have arrived.

You must be having a ball! Sounds like you have so much culture and art around. We played beach volleyball today had some great games. Halli's happy such a wonderful sweet dog took her for 2 walks today.

Good that you're getting in contact with your friends it's been so long since you've been back to Finland. Guess what I only lasted 1wk at my job they said I was slow but I wasn't enjoying working there so I'll find something better, I was a bit upset. Well are you off to India soon?
