Sailnumbers and batten shaping

Managed to get the sailnumbers and logo finished on the new main, also spent AGES sanding down some of the battens to get them to bend a little bit nicer... I should have used the electric grinder to get the battens done a bit quicker, though I didn't really trust myself with it, I thought that I might accidentally slip and chop right through the batten :( so I did it by hand... it took a bloody long time, though I think that they looked pretty good... Some of you that don't know bugger all about sailing might want to know that battens are the things that help the sail to hold it's shape... basically they push the back of the sail out from the mast so that the sail is a little bit more useful... oh yeh, if there are any of you in australia, we've got 2 photos in the latest australian yachting! both from hammo last year... if you go through, we're the small yellow boat... I've recently been going through some of my cd's of images that I took while I was in hong kong, it makes me miss being there a quite a bit :(
